Here's the location of Frutillar\u2019s main square, called <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/4jUJhVCDNeaxMSQ6A\">Plaza Springer, as a reference point.<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>By local bus<\/strong>: There are multiple daily departures from the Puerto Montt Bus Terminal. These are blue buses that take the road passing through Puerto Varas, Llanquihue, and nearby towns. The trip can take longer as the bus stops at various local stops. For more details, check the <a href=\"https:\/\/moovitapp.com\/index\/es-419\/transporte_p%C3%BAblico-Paradero_Mini_Buses_Pto_Varas_Frutillar_Llanquihue-Los_Lagos-site_18269046-2963\">Moovit app.<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>And Uber?<\/strong> This is an available option, but we don\u2019t recommend it. We recommend arranging this in advance, as the airport is far from the city and has limited flight frequency, which means fewer transportation options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Uber: From personal experience, we requested an Uber but had to wait a long time for the app to find available drivers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Estimated travel time to Frutillar: around 1 hour<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">From Osorno (approx. 110 km)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>By car<\/strong>Take Route 5 directly and then turn off toward Frutillar. You\u2019ll only encounter one toll, near Purranque.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>By bus<\/strong>: Several intercity bus companies make stops in Frutillar or connect via Puerto Varas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">From Bariloche, Argentina<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>By land<\/strong>Cross through the Cardenal Samor\u00e9 Pass \u2192 Osorno \u2192 Frutillar via Route 215. This is approximately 335 km, with an estimated time of 5 to 6 hours depending on border conditions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cruce Andino (Bus + Boat)<\/strong>: A tourist route that connects Bariloche, Peulla, Petrohu\u00e9, and Puerto Varas. From Puerto Varas, you can continue on to Frutillar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Travel tips<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The weather can change quickly: even if it's sunny, bring rain gear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid driving at night if you\u2019re unfamiliar with the area (rural roads have limited lighting).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask the locals: Google Maps is helpful, but the people here are even more helpful!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is a route on the edge <strong>Llanquihue's Lake<\/strong> you can take the route v-155. If you go by car from <strong>Puerto Montt<\/strong> enter the town of <strong>Llanquihue <\/strong>which runs along the shore of Lake Llanquihue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And if you\u2019re up for a small detour (about 40 extra minutes), take the Totoral junction and follow the road through Punta Larga.
